1.3 Attitude towards the person being cared for

Seeing the human being

In most cases, when care situations arise, a person is temporarily or permanently unable to do something that they used to be able to do - and that we can do quite well in everyday life under normal conditions (e.g. going shopping)

Losing your independence can be stressful, frustrating and a tough upheaval for people. If the person you are caring for is struggling with this, take a look behind the facade:

To understand the feelings and needs of the person in your care, put yourself in their shoes.

You can ask yourself the following questions:

There is space here for a characterisation of the person being cared for. Write down here what you thought about the person you cared for.

(If you don't know this person yet: write down one key point per card anyway, think yourself into the world of a person with care needs)

(Be sure to mention the grey keywords in the box below so that the task is counted as "passed" and you can continue with the course).
