Basic courses

Engage, accompany, support - your entry into volunteer work
What makes a good mentor? What are your strengths and where are clear boundaries important? Our basic courses give you practical insights into the basics of volunteering with older people.
You will learn why your attitude is crucial, what role you can take on and how you can strengthen the self-efficacy of the person being cared for. You will also learn which hygiene measures help in everyday life, reflect on your own motivation and prepare specifically for your first assignment.
Of course, each course unit can be completed individually, depending on your own interests.
Advanced courses

Safe and competent support - your next steps in volunteering
How do you react in an emergency? How do you provide sensible support in the home without patronising? In our advanced courses, you will deepen your knowledge and expand your skills for even safer and more effective support for older people.
You will learn about basic emergency measures, receive practical instructions on how to use a rollator and wheelchair and find out how to avoid falls. You will also deal with violence prevention and develop strategies to master difficult situations with confidence.
Of course, each course unit can be completed individually, depending on your own interests.
