Seeing the human being
In most cases, when care situations arise, a person is temporarily or permanently unable to do something that they used to be able to do - and that we can do quite well in everyday life under normal conditions (e.g. going shopping)
Losing your independence can be stressful, frustrating and a tough upheaval for people. If the person you are caring for is struggling with this, take a look behind the facade:
To understand the feelings and needs of the person in your care, put yourself in their shoes.
You can ask yourself the following questions:
