Basic course

Welcome to this basic course for volunteers! It is great that you are embarking on a journey to learn more about your role in caregiving and to actively prepare yourself for this responsible task. In the coming lessons, you will learn which basic attitudes and mindsets are important in caregiving, how the ICOP model supports you in this and how you can better understand your own role and that of others in the team. We will look at the legal framework, clarify how you can define your tasks and set personal boundaries. We will also discuss the concept of self-efficacy and basic hygiene measures. This course will help you to consciously prepare for your first assignment and better understand your motivation - with valuable insights about yourself and the needs of the people you will be accompanying.
